CoC Vs Bolt Action Pt 1

At the beginning of April Colin and I played another game of Chain of Command. The idea behind this game was to use it as comparison between the Chain of Command and Bolt Action rule sets.

In this post I’ll write an AAR on the CoC game and in the next I’ll do the the same for the BA game and then follow by giving my opinions on how the rules compare. The scenario was ‘The Patrol’ with the Germans (me) attacking.

Patrol Phase

The CoC game started well for Colin, who in my opinion won the patrol and deployment phase, having greater flexibility with where he could deploy from. As you can see from the photo above I ended up pretty much out on the flank with not much room to manoeuvre.
