Recently I had been thinking about the existing table arrangements in the barn and decided I wasn’t happy about the amount of space available for some of our players, especially around one of the 8 x 4 tables. The positioning of which wasn’t great as it was situated in-between two workbenches. Playing games one this table looked and felt rather cramped!
I’d also been thinking about how great it would be to have access to a much larger table and the decision was made to rearrange the barn so as to allow it to take a 16′ x 4′ table using the two existing 8′ x 4′ tables.

The old cobbled floor of the barn made moving the heavy table around even more difficult, in the end two 12mm ply offcuts were used as runners allowing the table to be nudged in to position. All that was left to do was to dismantle an old workbench/unit that used to house the table saw, just visible in the photo above and to find some where to keep all of the stuff I had pulled out to be able to move the table in the first place!
After a trip to the local recycling centre to dispose of the wood from the old table-saw workbench and any other rubbish I could get rid of the cobbled area of the barn cleaned up nicely resulting in much more room for all players.
