Chain of Command Game 2nd Oct 2018

August 1944

After steadily advancing through the village the Canadian forces are preparing to continue the push  and force the German infantry out from the village.

All looks quiet before the battle begins.

As the Canadian infantry prepares to advance the Germans take up position within the village making use of the heavy cover afforded them from the buildings.

The Canadians make use of the cover of the wood and remain out of sight of the Germans.

Canadian armour succumbs firstly to a Panzershcreck and then from a Pathers 75mm main gun(proxied by a Panzer IV).

After suffering casualties from small arms fire and the lose of their armour support, the Canadian infantry start to retire.

The Germans take advantage of the the Canadian retreat and with the end of a turn take two enemy Jump Off Points.

With their force moral now down to 1 the Canadian commander looks to preserve his remaining infantry for the next battle and continues to withdraw his infantry into the protection of the wood.  In the meantime, their sniper redeploys behind the cover of a wall and starts targeting the German infantry.  However, eventually he is sported and killed by return fire from the Germans.  His lose forces the Canadians to retire from the game.
